Summary

Seattle Contractor has an open position for a Project Assistant. The Project Assistant’s primary responsibility is billing contracts, time and material and lump sum billings as well as providing support to the Project Managers and management staff. The Cochran Project Assistant compiles and maintains records of Project Management activities by performing the job duties listed below.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The following are the duties associated with being a Cochran Project Assistant.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Preparation of monthly progress/ T & M/ Gmax billings, including tracking, substantiation, schedule of values, pay applications and ensuring that such billings are completed and correctly billed.
  2. Creates and inputs into system as required, budgets, phase codes, change orders and work orders.
  3. Ensure accuracy and timely input of groups time into the payroll system.
  4. Crates and inputs into system as required billing rate tables.
  5. Complete Job Set up in Viewpoint.
  6. Update A/R accounts in P/E on a regular basis.
  7. Collections of past due A/R accounts.
  8. Answers correspondence and prepares outgoing mail.
  9. Assist in preparation of month end reports.
  10. Assist Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable.

Education/Experience

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.   

Language Ability

Ability to read and interpret basic documents; Ability to write basic correspondence;

Math Ability

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. 

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Spreadsheet software, accounting software and other software that may be required.
