Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The following are the duties associated with being a Cochran CAD Coordinator.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Coordinate with engineering and other company divisions to provide electrical floor plans, details, diagrams and record drawings using AutoCAD and other graphic software.
  2. Work with architectural firms and other disciplines to coordinate project drawing requirements and standards.
  3. Interpret redlined drawings and transfer information into AutoCAD.
  4. Adhere to strict cad standards/guidelines required by customers.
  5. Handle cad files from any different sources.

Five years of related training and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Electrical/construction background preferred.


Language Ability

Ability to read and communicate in English, both verbally and in written form. 

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Math Ability

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as plane and solid geometry and trigonometry Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have expertise with REVIT, AutoCAD, MEP and Navis.  This individual should also have intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Additional software expertise may be required.

A minimum of a College Drafting Certificate
